The Sundarbans

 The present Sundarbans National Park was declared as the core area of Sundarbans Tiger Reserve in 1973 and a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1977. On the 4th of May 1984 it was declared a National Park. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987. The Sundarban is probably one of the worlds best kept secrets. However when it comes to Bangladesh everyone knows about it! It is part of our proud inheritance that we have to fight to preserve. We thought we would give you some amazing facts about its past, its wealth and its uniqueness to keep us all aware of our country's resources!
